About Frederick

Fred has been successful both as an executive and an entrepreneur. Much of his career has been spent in different sectors of the healthcare industry.

As founder and CEO of Optical Resources Group, a consolidator in the wholesale optical laboratory industry, Fred led completion of 12 acquisitions in 18 months and was responsible for raising $30 million in equity capital and $55 million in senior debt. The company was sold in an all cash deal for over 14 times pro forma EBITDA.

He has also held senior executive positions in a physician practice management company, a provider of contract rehabilitation services in skilled nursing facilities and a provider of sub-acute rehabilitation services.

As an entrepreneur, Fred founded Carolina Nonwovens Co, to develop and produce environmentally friendly and “green” products. The company was sold to a strategic investor in 2012. Earlier in his career Fred was a management consultant with Booz, Allen for 12 years, rising to partner and then to Managing Partner of the Health & Medical Division.

Assisted transportation industry client in developing an acquisition strategy, approaching targets and leading the acquisition of a strategic target.  Included advising client on pricing, negotiating strategies, and legal documents.
