About Jack

Jack is an experienced CFO with over 30 years of financial and operational responsibilities in a number of public and private company settings, typically high-growth and acquisition-oriented enterprises.  Strong partner of CEO and Boards with proven track record developing finance function in high growth situations to respond to needs of the business for controls, information, and strategic planning. -Adds value by developing insight into operations that drives better decision making.  Experienced with raising equity and debt financing for public and private entities, including four public offerings, two of which were IPOs, as well as with investor relations, corporate restructurings, managing cash in liquidity crises, ERP systems, SEC filings and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

 

He has served as CFO of companies in a broad range of industries such as independent power production (Catalyst Energy Corporation, NYSE listed), leveraged buyouts (Mast Resources, Inc., private), SAAS (applications for employee benefits communication, Online Benefits, Inc., private),  third party logistics (Encompass Group Affiliates, Inc., OTC listed), renewable energy/hydroelectric power (China Hydroelectric Corp, NYSE listed) and technology/software (Badu Networks, Inc., public, not presently listed ).

Client Results

  • Managed the entire process for the sale of a technology company for $33 million, including negotiation of Definitive Agreements and managing buyer’s legal, financial and technical due diligence.
  • Completed the recapitalization of a small public company and financing of two follow-on acquisitions, increasing revenue from $5 million to $110 million, and EBITDA from negative to $12 million.
  • Upgraded the financial management of a $100 million company that grew to $400 million over a 2-year period via nine M&A transactions.
  • Revamped a NYSE listed company’s investor relations strategy to meaningfully broaden its investor base.
  • Developed a restructuring plan for a supply chain management company primarily involving warehouse closings (four of eight) and headcount reductions, for $2.2 million in overhead cost reduction.
