Maureen McNamara

New England

“Strategy and culture should have breakfast together.” Max McKeown, The Strategy Book

Maureen brings to Newport over 30 years of senior-level and consulting experience in multiple levels of healthcare (acute, sub-acute, and long-term care), physician practice development, and senior living.

She has served as Senior Vice President & COO at a major Brown University teaching and research hospital and subsequently as President & CEO of a rural system of care. As Regional Director for a highly regarded senior living company, she had full operational and P&L responsibility for communities (rental & CCRC) throughout southern New England.

Her work included multiple turn-around situations requiring culture change, rapid adjustment of strategic direction, and market realignment. In this role, she successfully led the effort to create more industry-favorable State regulations resulting in recognition by Argentum (formerly the Assisted Living Federation of America) with the ALFA Public Policy Award.
