Tom has an extensive background in the technology sector. He had a long, successful career with IBM Global Services where he served in a number of executive and senior executive positions. This included sales, delivery, operations, and strategy in the professional services, and maintenance and technical support lines of business. His highlights include leading the professional services business units in both Silicon Valley and the Seattle .com sector, Vice President of Maintenance & Technical Support, Americas where he was responsible for a $4.5B service and support business, and Vice President of Global Strategy, Maintenance & Technical Support, where he was responsible for the strategy around a $15B service and support portfolio.

After leaving IBM Tom went to Essintial Enterprise Solutions, a private equity owned IT services company, where he served as CEO for 5 years and executed a successful business transformation strategy. Tom also currently serves as the President of the Service Industry Association, the largest global nonprofit association for independent services companies.
