Bill joined Newport in 2013 and has worked with companies in the technology, wireless, media and distribution industries. Prior to joining Newport, he was the CFO and COO of a provider of staffing services to the telecommunications and technology sectors in Atlanta. In that role Bill was responsible for staffing, project management, human resources and finance functions and led a capital raise of $7.5 million. Bill’s accomplishments include leading a private equity raise, an IPO and a $175 million public debt offering along with directing over 15 M&A transactions and 12 business start-ups in the U.S. and internationally. Bill brings discipline in financial strategy and operations to companies based on his experience as CFO and CEO of private and public companies.

RESULT #1: Assisted a Georgia based Distributor in the restructuring and turnaround of the company. During the tenure of the engagement the company’s revenues increased 80% and returned to profitability.
RESULT #2: A Southeast Media company was unsuccessful in obtaining funding to grow the business and experienced cash flow issues. During the Newport engagement we guided the owner through a restructuring and assisted in obtaining growth capital through a trusted banking partner.
RESULT #3: A Northeast based marketing research company was experiencing cash flow issues and was considering bankruptcy. Newport was engaged to explore other options and worked with the management team on positioning the company for sale.
